In our continued series on the Action of the Holy Ghost, the rapidly changing scenery brings us to Acts 3: 1-10, with Apostle Peter and Apostle John now the main characters. The Bible records that these two Apostles went up to the Temple about 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon (9th Hour) for their daily prayers and were met by a certain man who was lame from his mother's womb. He was normally taken there by his relatives daily to beg for money.

On this particular day, the Spirit of God in action allowed this certain lame man to request money of the Apostles Peter and John. The scripture records that the Apostle Peter and John looked straight at this man, and said, “Look at us”. This certain man changed his usual posture and now steadfastly looked on the Apostle Peter and John, expecting to get money in his container. But the Spirit in action directed Peter to say emphatically and prophetically, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have, I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!”

The Bible recorded that the Apostle Peter took this certain man by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. He began doing what he has not being able to do for years: he jumped to his feet, began to walk, and went with them into the temple, walking and jumping and praising God.

This is what the Spirit in action does; it brings healing, deliverance, joy, comfort, peace of mind and causes others to be amazed of the radical transformation that takes place in one’s life.

Dr. Luke recorded in verse 10 that they that knew this lame man, recognized that he was the one that normally sat at the gate and begged for money, but now he was miraculously changed, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

This same power of the Spirit of God in action is still working in changing lives of men and women everyday, and making them respond in similar manner as the lame man in AD 34, worshipping and praising the Lord Jesus for such deliverance from sin and sickness of the mind and body.
