Chateaubelair Apostolic Church
Chateaubelair, Saint Vincent & Grenadines
In July 2008, a number of saints from Mount Zion Apostolic Church – 4685 Du Courtrai Ave, Montreal, Quebec, under the pastorship of Bishop Zenderf McKenzie were invited to visit the beautiful island of Saint Vincent, after a lady by the name of Ms. Venus Pierre received a revelation that Jesus Christ is the only God. While visiting her daughter in Montreal, she visited the church and heard Bishop McKenzie preaching Bible Class. Her curiosity and eagerness to know more about the Lord Jesus led her to several visits.Although she was baptized before, she recognized that her baptism in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost was not biblical, so she got baptized again in the name of Jesus Christ in June 2008. Upon her return to Saint Vincent she dedicated herself in fasting, praying and reading of the Word of God and became an ardent and studious Bible student.
In July 2008, a delegation form Mount Zion Apostolic Church, comprising, Missionary Claudine Ferguson, Bro. Patrick Spencer, Bro. Eldon, Sis. Christine MacDonald made their first trip to the beautiful island of Saint Vincent. This trip by these missionaries opened up the way for the planting of the seed of Apostolic message of salvation. On this first visit, 8 souls were baptized in the lovely name of Jesus Christ, in the region of Chateaubelair, Plan, Fitz Hugh's, Spring Village and Petit Bodel.
In December 2008, a second visit materialized and Bishop McKenzie and Pastor McGann accompanied the first group of missionaries to Saint Vincent. This visit highlighted once again the hunger and thirsting for the Old Fashioned Apostolic message. During this visit 4 more souls were baptized in the precious name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. The saints now in Saint Vincent number 12 souls and started having meetings on a weekly basis at a rented facility in Chateaubelair.
Word had spread in the community that an Apostolic church was in the area. Many came, seeking to know more about Christ. In July 2012, Chateaubelair Apostolic Church was officially recognized and registered as a Non-Profit Corporation, incorporated under the Companies Act, CAP 143., by the Government of Saint Vincent.
